Hi-Tech Mining Associates (HTMA) has successfully conducted Resource Estimation of Copper Deposit in Eastern Ore Body of Saindak Metals Limited (SML) in Saindak, Balochistan, Pakistan. HTMA services enabled SML to utilize the borehole data of 96 drill holes with visualization of ore body trends and help them in mine design and planning.

Dr. Fuzail added, ” This work by HTMA provided the base for a comprehensive review of exploration, mining and processing operations at Saindak – the crown jewel of Pakistan’s mineral industry. SML put together a Review team based on relevant knowledge, education and experience. It was an honour for me to work with the team as their Lead Geoscientist. I hope the comprehensive review report will prove a win-win solution for all Stakeholders, including the MCC – welcome operators of Saindak mine.”

The director Operations HTMA Mr. Harris Naeem replied to Dr. Fuzail , “Your inputs really help to streamline the report to meaningful objectives. Thank you, sir!”

28 November 2017

The long awaited hearing of the writ petition (WP#1316/2015) was held on 28 November 2017. Following is a brief report on the proceedings from the Lawyers:

“With the opening we requested the court to consider our prayer and we seek implementation of the 2013 Mineral Policy. The Judge asked the opposing counsel (representing Federation ) about the progress. The opposing counsel stated that we have less say in the policy after 18th amendment because now it is the job of the provinces to implement the said policy.

The judge then asked who makes the policy ? Counsel replied, ‘Federation’ and then judge asked, ” Who’s job is it to implement that policy?”  The counsel replied, ‘Federation’. Then judge said that you cannot excuse yourself under 18th Amendment.

Then judge asked us what we want. And we requested the court to pass a judgement as per our prayer and implementation of National Mineral Policy in Letter and spirit.

The court then asked, ‘who is the petitioner’. We responded by saying that he is the most senior geo-scientist in Pakistan with decades of experience and he does not want anything for himself or for his personal gain but is asking for this court’s help for future generations and overall improvement of mines and mineral sector as per International Standards.

Finally the judge said, “Thank you I will pass an appropriate order”.
